Camino de Santiago: The journey of a lifetime begins here!
There are hikes that simply fill a weekend and there are routes that change the way you see the world. This October, COMBO invites you to walk the legendary “Path of St. James”. A unique experience full of history, lush landscapes of Portugal and Spain, and a close-knit group that will share your every step. You just put on your hiking shoes. We have organized everything else.

Camino Francés: Sarria to Santiago de Compostela - Europe's Most Iconic Walking Experience

This final stretch of the Camino Francés is where the anticipation peaks with every step. From the lively start in Sarria to the emotional arrival in Santiago de Compostela, the route combines the rolling hills of Galicia, ancient villages and fragrant eucalyptus forests, while creating a deep sense of community among pilgrims. Whether you walk for inner search, adventure and tradition, this path offers a powerful and unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

This route is not just a hike, it is an evolution. Each day builds on the previous one, combining physical challenge with cultural experience and personal introspection.

From the first step in Sarria to the final arrival in Santiago, the Camino offers something rare: a journey that changes you while you are still living it. Take your time. Talk to strangers. Stop in small villages. Let the Camino unfold at its own pace.

Each kilometer hides its own story written in stone bridges and ancient forests. It doesn’t matter how fast you walk, but how deeply you feel each moment.

In the end, the greatest discovery is not the cathedral itself, but the person you have become to get there.

    Day 1
    Saturday 10 October
    Athens → Porto

✈️ We gather at Porto airport.

Arrival at the hotel, a quick breath and… we are off to the sea. The Piscinas de Marés await us: natural pools carved into the rocks, where the ocean meets the land. The ideal first dip, salt, sun and the first contact with the element that will accompany our journey.

Return to freshen up and in the afternoon we get into the rhythm of the city. We walk through historic Porto, from Ribeira to the Sé Cathedral, with a view of the Dom Luís I bridge. Narrow alleys, stone, light that softens as the sun sets, the city does not try to impress, it slowly draws you in.

Porto is authentic, a little wild, full of history and an unpretentious melancholy. It is the ideal starting point: it slows you down and prepares you for what is to come.

We end the day with dinner next to the Douro and let the city put us in the mood for the Camino.

In Galicia, the landscape becomes lush and peaceful, with forests, rivers and stone paths to guide you.

After checking in to our hotel in Sarria, we will enter one of the most emblematic starting points of the Camino. Here, we will wander through the old town, visiting attractions such as the church of Santa Marina and the ruins of the medieval fortress. It is a place to relax, prepare and feel the unique energy of a journey that continues towards Santiago.
