Hydra is not just an island. It is an architectural jewel of the Saronic Gulf, a place without cars, with a unique atmosphere, history, artistic aura and legends that are still whispered in its alleys.
Here, everything moves differently. Slower. More authentic. More real!
📖 The Story
Most of the paths are old and well-preserved, as is the entire island. The surrounding sea is visible on all routes, offering the eye a palette of earthy colors with blue and green touches. The town of Hydra, a model settlement that despite its glorious history and wealth from trade, today deals with tourism and lives from tourism! “The Child and the Dolphin” with Sophia Loren, Dassin’s “Phaedra” and many other films were filmed on Hydra and about Hydra. The filming of our Combo Adventure starts early on Sunday morning, May 10th…

🥾 Hiking Route
Hydra – Monastery of Agia Matrona – Mandraki – HydraThe route starts from the port and goes uphill through the alleys of the town, passes by windmills and continues towards the Monastery of Agia Matrona. From there it descends to Mandraki, a historic cove with fortresses from the Revolution, before returning along the coast to Hydra.
