Our road trip starts from Edinburgh Airport. Start of the road trip to the Highlands and the road to Glencoe. The landscapes are impressive!
First stop at Stirling Castle. It is one of the largest and most historically significant castles in Scotland, located on top of a volcanic rock at Castle Wynd, in Stirling. It was a favored royal residence for centuries and played a decisive role in the Scottish Wars of Independence.
We continue with Rannoch Moor which is described as one of the last remaining true wilderness areas in Europe. Cameras are on fire!

We stop at the meeting of the three waters "Glencoe Falls", for the brave and courageous to enjoy a real "Scottish shower"!!!!
Driving into the heart of the West Highland, we will reach the most famous valley in Scotland, the Glencoe National Forest. Before reaching Fort William, we will start our first hike on the Glencoe Lochan Trail.

Day 2
Sunday 07 June
Glencoe | The Heart of the Highlands Full Hiking DayWe wake up early, not from alarm clocks but from the light that slips low between the peaks. Glencoe doesn't let you pass it by. It invites you to stop, look around and realize that today is not a simple day of hiking - it is a day of mountains, history and silence.
The valley spreads out before us wild and majestic. On one side the Three Sisters, on the other steep slopes that hide centuries-old stories. Here, the landscape is not a background, it is the protagonist!
🥾 Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail)
Today's hike takes us to the Lost Valley, one of the most mythical trails in Scotland. The trail starts gently, but quickly gets us into the mood: passages between rocks, streams that descend from above, narrow passages that require attention but no hurry.
Here the stolen herds of the MacDonalds were hidden. Here nature became an ally, a refuge, a protection. As we climb, the landscape opens up abruptly and the valley reveals itself like a secret that has been patiently waiting for us to discover it.The feeling is unique: isolation, strength, peace. There is no need for words. Only for presence.
⛰️ Stops & views
We stop at the viewpoints of the Three Sisters. Glencoe changes face with every cloud, with every light. Photos are inevitable, but they are not the goal. The goal is to capture the moment within us.
🍲 Afternoon in Glencoe
The day ends as it deserves: hot food, conversations, laughter and stories. In a traditional pub or at the accommodation, with the mountain still in front of us
🔹 Hike: Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail)
⏱ 4 hours | moderate | Distance 8 kilometers | Elevation 470m | Round trip

We will hike the Jacobite trail for approximately 3 hours.
We will leave Fort William to head to the Isle of Skye, the largest and most northerly of the major islands of the archipelago off the west coast of mainland Scotland.
On our way, we will stop at Eilean Donan Castle. Built in 1220, the castle is "one of the most iconic and recognizable castles in Scotland". This day is very special as we will drive and do a circular tour, driving to the north of the island for a very important hike on the magnificent and fascinating Trotternish Peninsula (Quiraing). Our first stop will take us to Rubha nam Brathairean (Brother’s Point). This is one of the best preserved places on the island.

The Military Roads were built in the 1700s to allow government forces to quickly deploy to key locations in the Highlands in the event of a Jacobite uprising.
No trip to the Highlands is complete without some attempt to spot Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster)! Are we the lucky ones?
The quiet scenic drive along the shores of Loch Ness will lead us to Inverness.

Day 7
Friday June 12
Edinburgh city tour - Walk the mileWe will start our city tour by heading to the famous Royal Mile. The old town is connected to the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, perched high at the base of a volcanic rock, with the magnificent Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Royal Mile is the main artery of the city. An avenue full of museums, souvenir shops, street performers and of course pubs! We will definitely hear some bagpipes on our way. We will admire the St Giles Cathedral, dating back to the 14th century AD, with its intricate Victorian windows and Gothic style. Then we will head to the lively Grassmarket. Surprisingly, this medieval market has a gruesome past and was once the site of public executions.
We will have lunch at a local Scottish pub "The Guildford Arms" with some beer. Later in the day, for those who want to visit museums there are many options (National Galleries of Scotland: Portrait, Royal Botanic Gardens or National Museum of Edinburgh). Next, we will go to the pleasant village of Dean, nestled on the banks of the Water of Leith. This quiet residential area seems untouched by time and is one of the most photogenic areas of the city in all of Edinburgh.
If time permits, we will take a walk from Cramond Beach to the tidal island of Cramond. The walk can only be done during low tide, to allow enough time to walk along the Cramond Causeway and back before the tide rises and covers the sand. This walk is a unique experience!
In the evening, we will have a Combo Night Out at "The Banshee Labyrinth", a haunted spot with bars, live bands and music nights from metal to punk and rave music. We will say goodbye to this amazing country with dancing! 😀
