One of the most impressive multi-day treks in Europe, in the wild and authentic nature of Triglav National Park. Alpine landscapes, via ferrata, mountain refuges and the peak-symbol of Slovenia compose an experience that is addressed to hikers looking for the ultimate action and adventure!
There are trips that you simply live and there are trips that change you!
This is not a simple hiking trip. It is an alpine life experience, a passage through the most authentic face of Slovenia, the Julian Alps, Triglav National Park, lakes, forests, refuges and the peak-symbol of an entire country!
In eight days, we leave behind the noise and enter a world where nature has the first word.
We move on paths that pass by rivers and waterfalls, climb alpine meadows, cross karst landscapes and end up in shelters lost in the alpine balconies.
We stand at the top of Triglav (2,864 m.), not only to "conquer" it, but to feel it!
Every day has its own character... from shady forests and cool waters, to wild alpine fields. From intensity and concentration, to relaxation and absolute tranquility.
And when the mountain completes its narrative, the journey continues to Bled and Ljubljana, where nature and culture are ideally balanced.
This trip is for those who love movement, exploration, the essence!
For those who want to feel the mountain step by step, sleep in shelters, wake up to the sound of the wind, and return different from when they left.
✨ Welcome to a true alpine adventure!
✨ Welcome to the world of Triglav!
✨ Welcome ComboRide to Slovenia 🇸🇮 !!!!!
A little about Triglav National Park
It is an authentically wild, mountainous area in northwestern Slovenia. Sandwiched between Austria and Italy, it stretches across the heart of the Julian Alps, hosting imposing peaks, glacial valleys, alpine lakes and steep limestone landscapes that exude pure alpine energy.
The Triglav National Park Trail largely follows a selected section of the Slovenian Mountain Trail - a historic mountain trail of approximately 600 kilometers, which crosses the entire country of Slovenia and is usually completed in 30 - 40 days. The advantage is that the trail continues beyond the boundaries of this particular crossing, allowing for the possibility of extending the hike before or after the program, for those who want even more adventure.
WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?
✅ Waking up among the Julian Alps, with the light reflecting on the alpine meadows and the coolness filling your breath!
✅ Hiking next to crystal clear rivers and waterfalls, where the sound of the water takes you away from everyday life!
✅ Climbing to the top of Triglav, the emblematic peak of Slovenia, with breathtaking views and moments that remain etched forever!
✅ Routes through dense forests and lush green paths, where shade and tranquility create their own alpine world!
✅ Trails over karst landscapes and rocks, with impressive lines and views of an almost lunar environment!
✅ Peace next to alpine lakes, where nature is reflected in the water and the moments are pure smiles!
✅ Accommodation in traditional lodges, lost in the mountains, with views that make you feel part of the landscape!
✅ Relaxation and enjoyment in magical Bled, with a boat ride to the island, the historic bell tower and the legendary Bled cream!
✅ Balance between intensity and serenity, an experience that combines action, exploration and absolute connection with nature!
HIGHLIGHTS
OVERVIEW

Day 1
Sunday July 19
Arrival in SloveniaArrival at Ljubljana airport. After check-in, we ideally start a relaxed warm-up with city bikes or alternatively with a transfer, depending on our mood. We head south, leaving the urban pulse behind and entering the wild tranquility of Iški Vintgar.
In less than an hour, the city seems like a distant memory and the landscape is completely transformed.
The Iška River has carved a raw and impressive gorge, icy, crystal clear waters flow between pebble banks, natural ledges and steep rocky walls that are more reminiscent of a canyon than classic countryside. We move through the gorge at a leisurely pace, often descending to the river for a cool dip, a rest stop or simply to listen to the space and its silence.
Dolomite boulders crossed by white calcite, rounded stones in shades of red and green; each layer of earth silently tells the story of time, water and the constant movement of nature!
In the evening, we enjoy a get-to-know-you dinner, where a detailed presentation of the program and the challenges that await us in the coming days is made. The beginning of a unique alpine experience!

Day 2
Monday, July 20
Ribčev Laz - Refuge Planinska Koca Na Vojah - Refuge Vodnikov dom na Velem poljuFrom the Waters of Mostnica to the Alpine Meadows of Velem Polju
From Ljubljana, we travel to the small, picturesque village of Ribčev Laz, nestled on the shores of Lake Bohinj, the gateway to the adventure of Triglav.
The calm waters of the lake mirror the Julian Alps and the quiet of the village makes you immediately forget the noise of everyday life.
Small wooden boats, traditional paths and the sound of the Mostnica River create the ideal setting for a warm morning before hiking.
Every corner hides photographic moments, from the smiles of the locals to the first reflections of the sun on the water.
The limestone terrain, typical of the Julian Alps, sets the tone for the route, while the trail is well-trodden and clearly marked, leading us safely through the landscape.
👉 Important: the only reliable water source is located at about 2.8 km, at the Planinska koča na Vojah refuge – an ideal spot for a stop, coffee and a small refueling before continuing.
Mostnica Waterfalls – an optional detour
Around 5.2 km, there is the possibility of a short detour to the impressive Mostnica Waterfalls, where the sound of the water and the wild beauty of the landscape provide a special moment on the route.
From the forest to the alpine landscape
Then, the trail opens up and becomes more rocky and uneven, with loose stones that slow down the pace – but without technical difficulties. Slowly, the dense forest gives way to clearings, preparing the gaze for the change of scenery that follows.
Arrival at Vodnikov dom
From here on, the route becomes smoother and more pleasant again. The shadow thins, the light strengthens and the landscape opens up impressively, until we reach Vodnikov dom na Velem polju.
🛏 A refuge lost in alpine meadows, with a view that makes you feel like you are in the heart of the Alps, the ideal ending to a day full of nature, water, forest and a smooth transition to the alpine world of Triglav.

Day 3
Tuesday July 21
Refuge Vodnikov Dom - Refuge Dom Planika - Refuge Triglav - Refuge Koča na DoličuFrom Vodnikov dom to the top of Triglav and beyond
We leave Vodnikov dom behind us early in the start of the day, with the landscape becoming increasingly alpine. The first few meters move over extensive gravel and stone, in a wild and imposing environment. There are more exposed points, where metal chains offer safety and certainty in the steps.
Arriving at Dom Planika, the tension rises. From here begins the most emblematic part of the day: the climb to the summit of Triglav. The path becomes slower, not because of difficulty, but because of the multitude of hikers, all moving with the same goal, at an almost ritualistic pace.
And then, the moment comes.
At 2,864 meters, at the top of Triglav, Slovenia spreads out all around and time seems to stand still. It is one of those peaks that you don’t “conquer”, they just let you stand for a while.
Descent to the Karst Kingdom of Dolič
After descending from the summit, the route changes character. It follows a long downhill course of about 2,800 meters, in a spectacular karst landscape. Here there are no valleys, no clear lines on the ground, only stone, rock and an open horizon.
The path moves mainly on a rocky surface and requires attention to orientation, with the characteristic red and white signs being our guide in this almost lunar landscape.
🛏 At the end of the day, we arrive at Koča na Doliču, a shelter isolated, silent and completely connected to the mountain, the ideal place to leave behind the intensity of the summit and feel the peace of the Alps again!
🔹 Hiking: 📏 Distance: 8.94 km
⏱ Duration: ~9 hours including the summit
⬆️ Elevation Gain: +1,011 m
⬇️ Elevation Descent: -703 m
🏔 Highest Point: 2,864 m

Day 4
Wednesday July 22
Koča na Doliču → Valley of the Seven Lakes → Koča pri Triglavskih jezerihFrom Dolič to the Valley of the Seven Lakes
We leave behind Koča na Doliču and head south, on a route that changes pace and character. The path to the west, through the pass and the peak of Kanjavec, is clearly more demanding; we choose the most harmonious and flowing route, ideal for enjoying the landscape.
The first meters move on gravel, with a gentle but steady ascent. We climb about 214 meters in altitude to the Hribarice pass (2,365 m), always following the characteristic red and white marks on the rock.
After the pass, the landscape becomes wilder and more austere. We find ourselves in a pure karst relief, without valleys and clear lines, in an almost lunar space. Attention to orientation is important, as we alternate between rock and gravel, in a particularly dry environment.
And then, as a reward, the first lake appears, the small Zeleno Jezero. From here, we enter the heart of the Valley of the Seven Lakes and everything changes.
The vegetation returns, the path becomes softer and more well-trodden, and the route now flows effortlessly through one of the most beautiful landscapes in Slovenia! We pass by the impressive Jezero v Ledvicah, while a few meters later the first trees and the much-needed shade make their appearance. To our left, the large mountain murals rise: Zelnarica, Topica and Tivariča, with the immense stone blocks at their foot accompanying the route.
🛏 After the small lake Močivec, we reach Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, at 1,690 meters, a refuge nestled in the alpine landscape. This is where the 3rd stage ends, with images, colors and tranquility that will remain etched in our minds for a long time!
🔹 Hiking 📏 Distance: 8.25 km
⏱ Duration: ~5:30 hours
⬆️ Elevation Gain: +240 m
⬇️ Elevation Gain: -680 m
🏔 Highest Point: 2,337 m
🌿 Lowest Point: 1,700 m

Day 5
Thursday July 23
Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih → Ribčev LazFrom the Alpine Lakes Back to Bohinj
In contrast to the previous stages, this day welcomes us with a completely different feeling. The route develops through a lush, dense forest, which offers plenty of shade and a pleasant coolness. Only in the last 2.5 kilometers, as we approach the shore of Lake Bohinj, does the sun exposure become more intense.
Soon, we leave the shelter and head south, passing by the serene Dvojno Jezero, where water and greenery dominate the landscape.
A little further down, the path changes character. A steep and impressive descent appears, with exposed aerial passages that are protected with steel cables and stakes, offering safety and stability. This section requires attention and concentration, but rewards with powerful images and a sense of adventure.
After this technical section, the tension subsides. We approach Koča pri Savici and enter a wider forest path, where the pace becomes relaxed again and the path flows easily.
The route continues along the northern shore of Lake Bohinj, where the mountain meets civilization again. Following the Mostnica River, through meadows and cool paths, we complete the journey by reaching the village of Ribčev Laz, with the sounds of water and small waterfalls, an ideal, peaceful closure after the long alpine days!
From Ribčev Laz, we leave the tranquility of Lake Bohinj behind and move to Bled.
A short route takes us to one of the most iconic landscapes of Slovenia, where the Alpine mountains are reflected in the waters of the lake and the castle dominates above it.
🛏 Here our day ends, with an overnight stay in Bled, an ideal spot for rest and with the feeling of returning to civilization, after the intense and image-filled days in the mountains!
🔹 Hiking 📏 Distance: 13.8 km
⏱ Duration: ~7 hours
⬆️ Elevation Gain: +95 m
⬇️ Elevation Gain: -1,253 m
🏔 Highest Point: 1,689 m
🌿 Lowest Point: 528 m

Day 6
Friday July 24
Relaxation, Nature & BledOur day in Bled starts off leisurely, with breakfast by the lake and a view of the calm waters that mirror the Julian Alps. This is followed by a delightful walk around the lake, on a flat circular road of about 6 kilometers, ideal for decompressing after intense alpine days. Along the way, we make stops for photos, small wooden docks and benches by the water, enjoying the slow pace of the landscape.
At noon we find a table by the lake for lunch, with light options or traditional Slovenian cuisine, while of course we do not skip the famous Bled cream cake (kremšnita), a sweet-symbol of the region.
In the afternoon, the experience continues with a boat ride on traditional pletna to the emblematic island of Lake Bled. There we visit the church and the legendary bell tower, in a setting that seems to be straight out of a fairy tale. On the way back, there is time to relax on the shores of the lake or for a refreshing swim.
As the sun sets, the gaze is drawn to Bled Castle, built high on the rock above the lake. The climb or visit offers panoramic views of the entire area and is the ideal setting for photos in the light of the sunset.
The day ends with dinner overlooking the lake and a final, leisurely walk along the shore, with the illuminated castle dominating from above. A calm, image-filled finale, which ideally balances the intensity of the alpine adventure that preceded it.
🛏 Overnight stay in the town of Bled

Day 7
Saturday July 25
Return to the CapitalAfter breakfast, we make our way back to Ljubljana, slowly leaving the mountain behind us and entering the relaxed rhythm of the capital.
Ljubljana is small enough to explore in a day, but full of character and little surprises. The tour starts at the Dragon Bridge, the most recognizable symbol of the city, and continues towards the heart of the old town. A little further away, almost hidden, is Locksmith Street, a narrow canal where hundreds of strange bronze figures emerge unexpectedly easy to pass by, but worth seeking out.
From there, we let time flow leisurely on the cobblestones of the old town, with stops for coffee by the river, before ascending through Tivoli Park to Tivoli Castle, silently guarded by mysterious cast-iron dogs.
In the afternoon, we completely change the scenery to Metelkova, an old military camp transformed into a political, punk and artistic self-managed space, raw, colorful and in complete contrast to the romantic image of the historic center.
The day will end again in the old town, with flavors of local Slovenian cuisine and a glass of wine, where the city lives and breathes until late, recognizing our achievements and the challenges we successfully completed!
