📖 The Story
Υπάρχουν μέρη που μοιάζουν να έχουν ξεφύγει από τον χρόνο. Ένα άγριο ακρωτήρι στην άκρη της Πελοποννήσου. Ένα δάσος που απολιθώθηκε πριν από εκατομμύρια χρόνια. Κι ένας πελώριος βράχος που κρύβει μέσα του μια ολόκληρη μεσαιωνική πολιτεία.
Τρία διαφορετικά τοπία. Τρεις διαφορετικές εποχές. Ένα Combo διήμερο στη νότια Λακωνία!
Την πρώτη μέρα αφήνουμε πίσω μας την Αθήνα και κατευθυνόμαστε προς τη Μονεμβασιά. Μπαίνουμε στην καστροπολιτεία και αρχίζουμε να εξερευνούμε τα πέτρινα καλντερίμια της, τις βυζαντινές εκκλησίες, τις καμάρες και τις κρυφές γωνιές της. Ανεβαίνουμε στην Άνω Πόλη, ανακαλύπτουμε τα μνημεία της και απολαμβάνουμε τη θέα από τον επιβλητικό βράχο που δεσπόζει πάνω από το Μυρτώο Πέλαγος.
Το απόγευμα αλλάζουμε ρυθμό. Αφήνουμε τα μποτάκια, βγαίνουμε για βόλτα μέσα στο κάστρο και απολαμβάνουμε ένα βράδυ με καλό φαγητό, κρασί και την παρέα να μοιράζεται τις εικόνες της ημέρας. Γιατί η περιπέτεια δεν είναι μόνο όσα ανακαλύπτουμε στα μονοπάτια, αλλά και όλα όσα συμβαίνουν όταν αυτά τελειώνουν.
Το επόμενο πρωί, όμως, μας περιμένει ένας εντελώς διαφορετικός κόσμος.
Κατευθυνόμαστε προς τον θρυλικό Κάβο Μαλέα, ένα από τα πιο άγρια και επιβλητικά ακρωτήρια της Ελλάδας. Εδώ κυριαρχούν τα βράχια, ο άνεμος και η θάλασσα. Ακολουθούμε το μονοπάτι της Αγίας Ειρήνης, με το τοπίο να εναλλάσσεται ανάμεσα στην άγρια ομορφιά και την απόλυτη γαλήνη. Ένας τόπος απομονωμένος, σχεδόν απόκοσμος, που σε κάνει να νιώθεις πως βρίσκεσαι στην άκρη του κόσμου.
Και σαν να μην έφτανε αυτό, η Λακωνία κρύβει ακόμη ένα μυστικό εκατομμυρίων ετών.
Στο απολιθωμένο φοινικόδασος του Αγίου Νικολάου θα ανακαλύψουμε τα ίχνη ενός πανάρχαιου κόσμου, εκεί όπου απολιθωμένοι κορμοί και ρίζες αφηγούνται την ιστορία ενός τοπίου που άλλαξε μέσα στον γεωλογικό χρόνο. Ένα παράξενο, σχεδόν προϊστορικό σκηνικό δίπλα στη θάλασσα, που μοιάζει να έχει βγει από ταινία περιπέτειας.
Δύο ημέρες γεμάτες πεζοπορία, εξερεύνηση και εικόνες που δεν συναντάς σε ένα συνηθισμένο Σαββατοκύριακο.
Ένα άγριο ακρωτήρι. Ένα απολιθωμένο δάσος. Μια μεσαιωνική καστροπολιτεία.
Αυτό είναι το Combo Jurassic Escape.
Όχι απλώς μια εκδρομή στη Μονεμβασιά.
Ένα ταξίδι σε έναν κόσμο που μοιάζει να ανήκει σε άλλη εποχή!

🥾 Hiking Route
The route begins through the archaeological site of Mycenae – and this year, this Sunday admission is free! – carved on ancient cobblestones and bridges, within vast olive groves that hide mysterious Mycenaean vaulted tombs. The limestone of the boulders, of cyclopean proportions, reminds us that we are walking on roads that have seen over 3,000 years of history.
It's a journey through time, between myths, history and natural beauty!

Saturday 04 JulyClimbing to Drakolimni in Tymfi 🏔️
Today we are entering alpine mode for good.
We wake up early in the morning, enjoy our breakfast and prepare the equipment for one of the most iconic hikes in Greece.
🚌 Morning departure with the Combo Vans for Mikro Papigo.
📍 The route
Mikro Papigo – Astraka Refuge – Drakolimni
We start from the beautiful Mikro Papigo, at 930 meters altitude, and enter one of the most historic trails of Pindos.
The trail gradually ascends through shady passes and rocky alpine terrain, while as we climb the view towards Zagorochoria and the steep slopes of Astraka becomes increasingly imposing.
Along the way we encounter traditional springs, rest areas and open alpine meadows that seem to touch the sky.
The Astraka Refuge appears on the characteristic saddle of Tymfi, where the landscape now becomes purely mountainous and wild.
From there we continue to the legendary Dragon Lake of Tymfi.
The route passes through alpine meadows and rocky passes with continuous views of the peaks of Tymfi. And suddenly, at 2,050 meters, the lake appears before us.
An alpine lake that seems to have come from another world.
Steep peaks and ravines rise around it, while the Aoos valley can be seen below. According to legend, the dragon of Tymfi lived here and threw stones at the dragon of Smolikas.
Today the lake is home to the rare alpine newt and is one of the most unique mountain landscapes in Greece.
